FAYETTE COUNTY, GEORGIA — Authorities are actively seeking 19-year-old Adrian Jelks, a Walmart employee accused of shooting two individuals at a Walmart in Fayetteville on Pavillion Parkway around 10 p.m. last Friday. The incident resulted in the death of 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale and left a nine-year-old girl wounded; both were found by officers upon arrival.

Holton succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while the child remains in stable condition.

The shooting is believed to be a targeted attack by Jelks on Holton, with the young girl being inadvertently injured as a bystander. Following the incident, Jelks fled the scene and is currently on the run, considered armed and dangerous.

In connection with the shooting, Sandra Romero-Nunez, 19, has been arrested and charged with being an accessory to the crimes of murder and aggravated assault, though her specific role has not been detailed.

Law enforcement urges anyone with information on Jelks’ location to contact 911 immediately.
