Photo Of The Day and over the years we’ve had quite a few images that have been captured just at the right moment. High-shutter speed digital cameras help, but sometimes all you need is a bit of luck. It’s also about being in the right place at the right time, with your camera ready to snap that perfect shot. Did you ever succeed in doing that?

This image shows a sailor as he shoots a messenger line from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118) to the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) during a replenishment-at-sea. Daniel Inouye is part of Carrier Strike Group Nine and is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
