You can have all the best survival gear available today, but it’s virtually useless if you don’t have it with you when you need it. Wazoo Gear solved this problem with its ingenious Cache Belt. This durable accessory offers a discreet and fully accessible way to store and transport small gear with you throughout your day.
The Wazoo Gear Cache Belt
With the Cache Belt in hand, along with Wazoo’s Adventure Gear Kit, I wanted to experience for myself this item’s practicality in the field. Did it successfully pull off double-duty as both an ingenious gear-toting option and traditional clothing accessory? It did, and it did it incredibly well!
A Complementary Duo
The good people over at Wazoo Gear sent me two products that complement each other perfectly. I received a black-colored Cache Belt option with a stainless steel buckle, ready to wear upon opening, and their Adventure Kit. It’s an assembly of twenty-three pieces of compact gear well-suited to be stored within the Cache Belt’s roomy interior (more on this later).

Construction of the Cache Belt
The Cache Belt, in my opinion, needed to be ultra-tough to both firmly hold loads of gear and also to endure day after day of hardcore regular use. A quick review of the Cache Belt’s specs, as well as my own hands-on inspection, put my mind at ease.

The strap portion of the belt is constructed of MIL-SPEC A-A-55301 Nylon, with a break test strength that exceeds 2,700 pounds. I could feel its durability in my hands as I pulled and twisted the strap. The interior storage compartment featured hook-and-loop material that was also surprisingly tough.
It took a great deal of effort from my fingers to separate the material, and after repeated openings and closings, the bindings didn’t lose their connective strength. The belt’s buckle also exhibits high durability. Its 300 series Stainless Steel with Cerakoted finish exuded both solidness and style.

The Adventure Kit’s Contents
One thing is for certain. If you want to let Wazoo Gear stock your Cache Belt, then their Adventure Kit accomplishes this perfectly. This kit contains 23 essential tools for emergency use in both rural and urban environments.
There are components for fishing, like fishing hooks, weights, and fishing line. Snare wire and a wire saw help with small game hunting. A Ferro Rod, tinder, and a waterproof battery-powered light can handle a person’s fire and illumination needs. Water purification tablets, a water container, and a filter aid in, of course, the water category.

A compass, signal mirror, and emergency whistle are highly valuable when in the deep woods. Additionally, Ranger bands, zip ties, a needle, safety pins, and more offer urban applications.

Fit and Comfort When Fully Loaded
Filling my Cache Belt with the components of the Adventure Kit was both enjoyable and challenging. I tried many configurations throughout the vast interior of the belt’s compartment until I found the perfect setup for me. I stored what I guessed as my soon-to-be most used items near my right hand for easy access.
Others that would be needed in very specific situations, like the water purification items, I positioned inside the middle of the belt, which was across my backside. Some fell into place easily; others needed some tweaking to keep any large bulges from forming from the protruding items.
When I threaded the belt through my pants’ belt loops, it flowed smoothly without any jams along the way. The fit was comfortable. Honestly, I couldn’t feel the interior gear. After a few hours of wear, I even forgot that the gear was hidden around my waist.

Viable for Every Day Use?
It’s very safe for me to say that the Cache Belt is perfect for everyday wear. No matter if I was going out to dinner or trekking through the deep woods, this item would feel at home in both scenarios. What’s even better is that you can customize its interior contents to suit your personal needs.

Yes, the Adventure Kit makes it easy, and I highly recommend that you snag it with your Cache Belt. But don’t be afraid to swap out items. You can add some paper money for emergencies, a spare house or car key, maybe a universal handcuff key, or even bandages, tea bags, or hard candy.
Your necessities may not be someone else’s, so fill the belt with your own individualized needs.

Long-Term Service
The Cache Belt and The Adventure Kit are by no means one-and-dones for short-term use. Both items are heavy-duty, well-made, and won’t fail when push comes to shove. Priced at $75.00 for the belt and $110.00 for the gear kit, the under two-hundred-dollar price tag for both is actually excellent for what you get. It’s a turn-key investment.
Choose your gear and placement preferences, and you’re good to go for year after year of reliable wear. Wazoo did all the hard work, so you don’t have to.
