DECATUR, GEORGIA — In DeKalb County, a 19-year-old lost his life following a struggle over a gun at The Terraces at Snapfinger condominiums in Decatur. The incident, which took place around 10 p.m. on Saturday, involved two men fighting over a firearm.

Police investigations suggest that the altercation began when the deceased attempted to take the other man’s gun, leading to a struggle that resulted in the gun discharging and fatally injuring him.

Local authorities, who responded to the shooting, confirmed that they are not planning to press charges against the surviving individual.
