New South Wales will soon have a dedicated paediatric heart transplant service to perform lifesaving surgery on children.
Currently, children requiring heart transplants have had to travel interstate to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
It is expected that the new facility will reduce financial and emotional stress for sick children and their families.
