A North Las Vegas shooting at an apartment complex resulted in five deaths and one critically injured teen. The mass shooting suspect has been captured.


NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (5-minute read) — A tragic mass shooting unfolded on Monday night at an apartment complex in North Las Vegas, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and critically wounding a 13-year-old girl. North Las Vegas Police responded to the scene around 10 p.m. at 370 Casa Norte Drive, situated between Commerce Street and Craig Ranch Park.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two women, one in her 40s and the other in her 50s, deceased in a second-floor apartment. They also found a 13-year-old girl suffering from a critical gunshot wound. The injured girl was promptly taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

Further investigation led police to another apartment below, where they discovered three more bodies. These victims included two women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s.

The suspect, identified as a 47-year-old, was captured following a manhunt and is no longer considered a threat to the community.
