Staccato has added a compact carry model to its HD lineup with the new Staccato HD C3.6, a purpose-built 9mm carry pistol that pairs a shortened grip and 3.6-inch barrel with the HD family’s duty-grade features. The C3.6 uses a lightweight 7075 aluminum-alloy frame and a shortened HD Compact Grip designed to accept Glock 19–pattern magazines while shipping with 15-round steel Mec-Gar magazines, positioning the pistol as a high-performance option for daily concealed carry.

Staccato is offering the C3.6 in three upgrade packages: the Standard Package (aluminum frame, stainless barrel, Ameriglo blacked-out front sight, curved aluminum trigger) at $2,299; the Preferred Package (adds a DLC barrel, Trijicon tritium night sights and a third 15-round magazine) at $2,499; and the Premium Package (adds X-serrations and a fourth 15-round magazine) at $2,799. All C3.6 pistols carry Staccato’s lifetime warranty, are shipped with free optic mounting, and come in a Savior Equipment soft gun bag with storage for up to three magazines.

Key features and design highlights

  • Caliber: 9×19 mm with 15+1 capacity (ships with two 15-round steel magazines; magazine count varies by state law).
  • Barrel: 3.6” bull barrel (available stainless or DLC).
  • Trigger: single-action style, listed at roughly 4–4.5 lb for a crisp, clean pull.
  • Weight: 24 oz unloaded (aluminum frame).
  • Frame: 7075 billet precision-machined aluminum-alloy to reduce carry weight.
  • Controls & safety: fully ambidextrous controls, external extractor, active firing-pin block, and mirrored ergonomics.
  • Optic readiness: Staccato’s HOST mounting system (uses spacer plates and longer optic screws for secure attachment).

Staccato positions the HD C3.6 as retaining the mechanical and safety design of the HD family while improving concealability through a shortened grip module and lighter frame. The company also points to an updated flat-wire recoil system and redesigned grip texture with front and back straps intended to keep handling consistent in a smaller package. Early media previews and dealer listings describe the C3.6 as preserving HD performance in a noticeably lighter, more carry-friendly footprint.

What comes in the box

The C3.6 ships in a Staccato soft bag by Savior Equipment and includes the pistol, two 15-round steel magazines (state restrictions apply), a cable lock, owner’s manual, and warranty/safety cards. Dealers listing the model also note that some configurations ship with the upgraded magazines and sights included in higher trim levels.

I hope to get one for hands-on testing and a full review, so keep an eye out for a follow-up.
