Idaho-based company Bishop Ammunition & Firearms, best known for their 475 Bishop Short Magnum cartridge, has unveiled a new addition to their armory – the AR45TC. Bishop Ammunition & Firearms say the new AR45TC combines the best features of the AR15 and the Thompson submachine gun.

This intriguing blend of classic and contemporary gun design was unveiled at the SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range, where Merrisa Bishop, the President and lead designer at Bishop Ammunition & Firearms, walked us through the new model’s defining features.

The AR45TC has an EV-5 match-grade barrel with a Thompson-inspired exterior profile. Bishop Ammunition and Firearms say that the firearm is capable of achieving 1-inch or better groups at 50 yards when loaded with 230gr match ball ammunition. The receiver is machined from billet aluminum with the upper receiver incorporating a non-reciprocating side charging handle from Gibbz.

This firearm is not only versatile in design and performance but also in its compatibility with ammunition. The AR45TC is available in .45 ACP, 10mm, 40S&W and 9mm. The new carbine is designed to feed from readily available Glock magazines in the various calibers.

Bishop Ammunition and Firearms have produced the stock furniture for the AR45TC, including an adapter allowing any AR-compatible pistol grip to be mounted on M-LOK as a vertical front grip. This grants shooters the flexibility to customize their grip to their preference, making the AR45TC a viable option for many types of shooters, whether they are professionals or enthusiasts.

The AR45TC is now available and can be tailored to suit specific customer needs. As for the price, it has an MSRP of $1,900.

This new offering from Bishop Ammunition & Firearms continues the trend of pairing time-tested design elements with modern firearm technology, providing firearm users with new and exciting ways to customize their shooting experience.
