For today’s Photo Of The Day, we have these cool images from the Pilsen Liberation Festival (May 6, 2023). U.S. GI Reenactors recreate iconic scenes from the liberation of Pilsen. The Liberation Festival is an annual event that brings over 50,000 spectators to Pilsen for the Liberation Parade, which consists of U.S. GI reenactors from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, and the United States to commemorate the 16th Armored Division’s liberation of Pilsen on May 5th, 1945, three days before VE-Day.

Check back tomorrow for another run of our Photo Of The Day. We’re always on the lookout for the best photographers and firearms-related images out there. The goal is to give your eyes something worth watching every day – regardless if it’s futuristic, modern, or historic like today.
